Concetta Marie "Connie" Buttacavoli, 86, of Ambler, died on March 1, 2010 at Brandywine Senior Suites in East Norriton, PA.
She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Peter Buttacavoli for 61 years.
She was born in Philadelphia on November 2, 1923 to the late George and Frances (Caruso) Greco.
She attended Philadelphia schools.
Connie was employed with Meadowlands Country Club for over 25 years until her retirement in 1989.
She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Church in Ambler for 50 over years and at one time was a member of their Ladies Auxiliary and an active member of St. Alphonsus Senior Citizens Club.
She enjoyed cooking and baking especially during the holidays with her family, playing bingo, crafts especially ceramics, walks through Ambler and trips to the Jersey shore and the casinos with her family.
While at Senior Suites she made many new friends and enjoyed going on trips, playing cards and many other activities.
Connie was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her son's dogs.
She is survived by two children Frances A. Ciavarelli (William) of Ambler, Richard R. Buttacavoli of North Wales, 4 grandchildren Christopher (Tonya), William, Andrea, Michael Ciavarelli, 3 great-grandchildren Sophia, Nadia, Christopher, a sister-in-law Frances Greco of Mayfair section of Phila., and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her son Thomas A. and all her siblings: Anthony, Benjamin Greco, Angelina Petrognani, Edith Graziani, Sadie D'Eletto, Mae Bellini.
Memorial Donations in her name to St. Joseph Villa 110 W. Wissahickon Avenue., Flourtown, PA 19031.
